A chair for the Biennale pavillion

The  design  problem  was to make a chair from  scrap  by  using  only  two materials. Here I utilised the wood  pieces I collected from a scrap yard and  also a piece  of old   jute. The  design was spontaneous with the name “Angle-O-Indian Lady” -instead of curves , she had angles”.The concept was derived  from   the  most  comfortable and   confident  posture of a lady  being  seated. The triangular seat  shape was  derived by seeking this  posture  which  demands the   minimum space for sitting. Thus the triangu lar shape projected three dimentionaly out of scrap !!!
